Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was a member of rhe Utah National Guard and I was going to deploy to Germany for Annual training.  Before I could go I had to get a security clearnance.  In the process of getting my security clearance, I came upon a debt that I owed to the Utah Office of recovery services.  This debt came to be because my teenage daughter wanted to go and live with her mother.  Being she was an age that I concidered old enough to decide I didn't try to interfere.  My x-wife promptly went and got welfare so that she could have healthcare insurance even though I have always provided this for my children.  I also need to mention that this office NEVER ONCE contacted me on this matter, I FOUND THIS DEBT ON MY OWN.

I called them and made payment arrangements to pay off this debt when I returned from Germany.  I assumed that all was well but I made a request that this not be processed for judgement so that it would not get on my credit report.  When I came back I went in to their office and paid the entire debt of $270 in full.  I checked my credit report and I found that they had turned it in for judgement while I was serving in Germany.  I called them and the woman I spoke with promised that it would be removed when I paid the debt where as I informed her it was already paid.  Here is is over 5 years later and I have managed to get the debt removed from 2 of the three reporting agencies but Experian is giving me a difficult time.  I have called ORS and requested assistance since I concider this to be an error to place this in judgement so quickly especially when I called, owned up to the debt and promptly paid it.

Whenever I call them all I get from them is an obtuse and demeaning attitude and they refuse to be helpful beyond a letter that says that it has been paid.  I understrand that there are many men out there that do not pay their child support.  I am not such a person and I paid it as soon as I possibly could, and within a month of my discovery of this debt.  I feel they need to give me something that admits their error (DOES ANYONE ADMIT THEIR OWN ERROR ANYMORE?) and send a letter stateing it should be removed from mty credit score.
