I also attended a meeting in Marlton, NJ in 2003. The vacation planned sounded like such a great deal so we decided to go ahead and do it. They were more than willing to go ahead and finance the $10,000 for the vacation plan for us with no financing fees. Wow this was great for what we were already paying for vacations each year we were buying 40 weeks of vacation an after 5 years we wouldn't have to pay anymore.....that sounded just great. Well we filled out the forms with our 3 locations 120 days prior to our vacation and were notified than none of our locations were available at that time.....so we tried it again with another 3 location and again they were not available. I then called Vacation Network and told them I did not want the vacation package cancel my financing contract and refund me my down payment. They threatened that we signed a contract and if we did not pay it would go to collections. Well I wasn't paying for something I would not receive or could not use so I stopped paying and tried to get Vacation Network Inc. to cancel my contract and refund my down payment. I had no success. No today I have a collection account on my credit from Duvera Collect the collection agency that vacation Networks uses and the balance has grown to over $18,000. I have spoken to an attorney who is willing to file a class action suit against them if I can come close to finding 100 others who have had a similar experience. So if you had dealt with these crooks and they have ripped you off post a comment here and let's find a way to band together to get our justice and prevent these crooks from doing this to anyone else. I don't understand how these animals could expect someone to pay $10,000 let alone $18,000 for something they never received. Well I'm tired of sitting back and thinking there is nothing I can so because there is and I'm not going to stand for it anymore.

This person makes the statement "they were suckered into buying "..how can you be suckered into buying something, when you are capable of getting up and walking out of an office on your own free will? Just say no. She wasn't lied to, the photos are of nice places, booking is based on space availability, and our policy is to replace the week if it is unsatisfactory. This person stated that they submitted a reservation request "early enough". It was submitted 2 days shy of the 90 day deadline, for prime season. We base the deadlines on the day we receive them, as to that is when we begin to search, not the day the client mailed them, as we do not have it in our possession yet. Her request was dated 2/8/03, we received it 2/12/03, she was requesting to travel 5/10/03. We have these guidelines for a reason. She was sent a letter stating "please allow 45 days for processing(this is also stated in the contract she signed), some request may take longer to confirm such areas with limited availability". She also states she was told that we would mail them brochures about the places we were offering them, and that they could either accept it or tell them to keep looking. Vacation Network, Inc has never had the policy of mailing brochures to clients for them to view for their vacation selection. We call the client directly and give website information when we have found something with availability in the areas they are looking for. If our reservation department informs them that they have to know something by 5pm, it is because the they are unable to place a "hold" on a prospective condo (this is the resorts policies, not ours). This person also states that she was sent a picture of a resort, she stated that she looked in a Myrtle Beach Book and there was no beach in pictures, we're sure that there was more than just NON-SMOKING listed in the amenities. This person's next complaint is because what she did accept "looked too far from the beach". And yet, we still accomodated her and found her another place to stay, even though once she was booked for the previous one, it was paid for. Many resorts do not have the policy of refunding payments, once something is booked. This person's next complaint has nothing to do with Vacation Network, Inc. The resort had her information, this was confirmed by our reservationist, why she was not booked by the resort, we do not know. We were able to book them in another resort, so they were able to go on vacation. Vacation Network, Inc is sympethic to her stress level with this incident, however, we are not accountable for the resorts mistake. While Vacation Network, Inc is very apologetic in regards to this person's complaints, we feel we are not in breach of the contract they signed and agreed to the terms and conditions. All of our clients are given the contract, Vacation Network Booklet and phone numbers to the sales offices and corporate office at the time of signing. If there is anything they have questions about, they have all the tools to help them. If clients fail to read or call, we cannot be to blame. We wish them well in there travel endeavors.
