Value Bank Texas, R. Scott Heitkamp ripoff consumer fraud deceptive trade practices dishonest illegal practice with SBA goveramental agencies charges for loan applications Corpus Christi Texas
If you want to bank with a honest bank then you should not bank with Value Bank Texas. Do not let their name fool you like they did my husband and I. They do not give all information which is required by law in the truth and lending act. They required $10,000 for a loan application and it took about six months to figure out that they wanted to charge us fees of $100,000 on a project that was already completed and financed with another bank.
They explained they could get us a better deal through the SBA governmental agency program which they really could not do, due to the fact we were already with another bank. The president and chief lending officer, Scott Heitkamp, explained that the reason their bank did not give us all of the charges was because they did not want us to shop their rates.
This is totally illegal and we would never have given them the $10,000 up front if we would have been told the above. Also, once we told them we were not interested in using their bank they said they had already used up more than $10,000 in banking fees therefore there would be no refund. Go figure! I have never heard of a bank going to review a sight for possible loan and business with a customer and charging for it.
