First off, my husband works for the warranty company that Stainsafe contracts to do their local work. I can't even begin to tell you how many nasty things he encounters AND cleans. Blood, urine, etc. Anyway, if you do a basic internet search for Stainsafe's warranty coverage, you will see that ball point ink, as well as food stains are covered, BUT, you need to report it within 5 days. If you pull your warranty copy out (surely, you did keep it) you will find the same info. I am not sure how a food stain could go unnoticed for that long, honestly. I understand your frustration, but you should have read the terms of the warranty and realized you were in the wrong before unfairly reporting this company as a "ripoff". Chalk it up as a lesson learned and now you know for the next time.

I have read this consumers complaint, and also being a SS consumer I must say this. First of all I have a new sofa thanks to Stain Safe and many of my friends have received great service from SS. The reason, They read thier warrante. Its that simple, it says in "how to obtain service" that any incident must be reported in 5 days of occurance. First off, 3 weeks with food stains on your furniture, now theres class! No warrante or insurance plan covers EVERYTHING, how would they stay in business?
