Well, I am a single mother of 3 children. I really wanted to buy a house and came across an individual who wanted me to assume loan on their mobile home. I applied and got approved. After several weeks, I signed paperwork in June 2005, gave a 10% downpayment and moved the trailer. The only thing I was told at paperwork signing was a coupon book would be in the mail. THAT'S IT!!

Well, after I moved trailer and got everything hooked up on a rented lot - by the way, after move of $1,000 and hooking everything up - another $900. I was informed that I needed to secure mortgage insurance and without it - loan would NOT be in my name. I had a problem securing home owner's - I called Vanderbilt and was informed by Lashelle Bradson that I was not legally responsible for loan - she would back me out of paperwork signed and REFUND MY DOWNPAYMENT. Clayton Homes in Rocky Mount NC had mishandled all of the paperwork and I was not at fault.

Actually, she named Clayton Homes in Rocky Mount NC as to being the reason for the whole mixup - and account WAS NOT IN MY NAME AND I COULD JUST WALK AWAY!! Well, after the weekend, Ms Bradson had spoken with Tommy Gordon - credit manager - and he refused to hear to my side. He spoke with Scott A. at Clayton branch - MANAGER BY THE WAY = and everything was settled. How was everything settled? I wanted out - was told I was out and a refund was on the way - and now, Scott had reassured Tommy -credit manager - that he had fixed everything and nothing needed to happen with this loan.

SCOTT HAS NOT CALLED ME THE FIRST TIME!!!! I called him numerous times and he was very rude to me - telling me it was my problem. Now, Lashelle and Tommy REFUSE to return my calls - I have left a ton of messages - NONE RETURNED!!! When I call into customer service - they KNOW ME!! They also tell me they CAN NOT transfer me to anyone due to strict orders from credit manager. WHAT A JOKE!!! I have filed complaint with BBB of East TN and FTC. And I am going to continue to call them until they honor what I was promised - TO REMOVE MY NAME FROM THIS LOAN AND REFUND MY MONEY!!!!
