vanderbilt mortgage is the most unprofessional company that I have ever had to deal with. I am about to walk away from my house just so I don't have to deal with them. I have continually explained to them that I get paid on every forth Friday of the month and asked them to work with me, but down right refuse. I am told if the payment is not there despite trying to work with them, that $25.00 goes into mt principle and the rest is late fees

Sorry to hear of your problems with this Berkshire Hathaway company.

The Center for Public Integrity just recently published an article on the practices of this Clayton Homes subsidary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway:

http://www.publicintegrity.org/2015/04/03/17024/warren-buffetts-mobile-home-empire-preys-poor

I would suggest that you email the authors of this article and/or write to Mr. Buffett himself at the company's headquarters address: Berkshire Hathaway, 3555 Farnam St., Omaha NE 68131 and inform him of your experience and see if there might be something that could be done.

While we ALL understand that YOU get your money on a set date, but your payment is ALSO on a set date. Which means that no matter what, THEY expect THIER money on THAT DATE!!! This is what YOU agreed to so its NOT a shock to you. If THEY gave YOU a consideration then THEY would have to do it for EVERYONE!!! Which means that their payments would be in CHAOS!!! But THAT doesn't matter to YOU does it?? No, the only thing that matters to YOU is that YOUR life is made easier. YOU need to address YOUR problem of NOT paying ontime. YOU need to make changes in HOW you do things. So YOU have a set date for getting your money. Then YOU need to work within your budget so YOU can make those payments ON TIME. That is all they want, THIER money on the DATE they need it. This may require YOU to go without. But stick with it and you should be able to meet your obligations. I know people don't want to hear that THEY have to change. But it IS what needs to happen so YOU don't keep paying late fees. Find a way to hold onto money so you can make your obligation. You MAY have to juggle some bills, but that is BETTER then losing your home. It is NOT unprofessional of them to expect to be paid. It is NOT unprofessional of them to NOT work with you on payments. THIS IS ALL IN THE CONTRACT YOU AGREED TO!!!!! YOU have NOT been ripped off. You THINK you have because THEY wont let YOU pick the date to make a payment. THEY are NOT the ignorant one in all of this, that's YOU!!! So get past your ignorance and find a solution to your problem. Why is it that you were able to do such things before yet refuse to do it now??
