Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I recently open a wholesale business of TOOLS and i decided to buy from via trading. The seller who contacted me was Adan Sanchez. Everything looked good at first time, howvever, when I asked him for pictures he pretty much told me: well the merchandise is at the warehouse. The tone of his voice sounded like he did not want to go there and do his job. He continued by saying: well the merchandise that comes in the lot is mixed, you know. The pictures of the website are not realistic, I'm guessing and as in all companies you publish the best merchandise to fool people. They did! When I finally got the 5 pallets i bought, big surprise they all looked worse than second hand store. Missing parts that were essential for the tool performance, dirty, dusty, broken, scratched, RUSTY!!! Tool boxes are an ashame, I feel so embarresed of showing my products in that conditon.  Pallets are not complete there are missing products. After the shock I tested all the products and clasified them into, working and non-working. When I finished, it was clear I was ripped off, 50% of merchandise did not work. A day or two days later the seller ADAN SANCHEZ contacted me as a routine i guess...and I explained him the condition of the products i recieved. I told him : This is why I asked you for pictures to see what i was getting myself into! HE DID NOT SAY A WORD!!!! He told me but dont get frustrated and dont sell them for cheaper. I told him How am I suppoused to sell this products as brand new if they look used and don't work...again he did not say a word. He promissed he would contact me again and he never did.

A friend of mine also bought a lot of clothes and he got nothing than dirty , smelly, extra sizes and old merchandise. Everybody in that company gave him attitude

Hello. We sincerely appreciate you providing feedback about your experience with us. Please allow us to address some of the points in your review.

First off, I would like to apologize on behalf of Via Trading both for the service you received and for the lack of follow up after you expressed your concern. This is not representative of how we do business and we apologize.

However, after discussing this issue with the Account Manager in question, we feel that you were not "ripped off" but rather significantly under-informed about what you were purchasing. The Account Manager you worked with should have spent much more time explaining the risks and benefits of buying liquidation and customer return merchandise. What you purchased were customer return goods in unknown condition, untested and sold as-is. Items that are dirty, rusty, used and scratched are fair game when purchasing customer return merchandise. The loads may contain items in such condition, or in much better condition. It will vary from lot to lot and we make no claims as to the % of working or non working items. The fact that you did not expect to receive them in this condition means we did not do our job of explaining the risks properly but this is indeed what customer returns are - goods in varying conditions that you will have to test, repair, clean and fix before reselling. This is part of the business.

If you were not prepared to work with such goods, we should have recommended something else to you - and this is also where we failed you. There was no way that you could resell the items you bought as brand new. They were 100% customer returns and advertised as such on our website.

You can read a detailed description of what to expect when working with customer return goods here. We link to this section of our website from all of our marketing materials and introductory emails as well as invoice emails, etc: http://www.viatrading.com/wholesale/453/Product-Conditions.html

The Conditions of Purchase document you signed at the time of purchase also outlined the condition of the goods - but it should have been explained to you in much more detail and we should have obtained a better understanding of your business in order to recommend appropriate items for you.

That being said, as a company we genuinely care about our customers' success and would like the opportunity to discuss how we can rectify this situation for you. Please expect a call from a Via Trading manager today to discuss this issue. Thank you.
