Items were advertised as customer returns

Via Trading is very transparent about the fact that we sell liquidation merchandise, a large portion of which is customer returns. When a customer visits our warehouse, it is made clear that the products on the warehouse floor are primarily returns - customer return stickers are visible, products can be seen out of box, and visual damages or defects can also be seen in many cases. Our sales team makes it a priority to ensure customers are aware of the product’s condition.

The pallets of scooters specifically have stickers on them that state “customer returns” as the product condition. The individual boxes of scooters on each pallet have visibly been previously opened and in many cases, taped closed again prior to being palletized.

These items are also advertised on our website as “customer returns.” We state that they are untested and sold as-is, and that testing and repair may be necessary. We also offer an extensive resource section explaining what to expect when working with customer return merchandise, and we make this information available on flyers to walk-in customers who visit our warehouse and who may not have read our website. The complete article regarding what to expect with this merchandise can be found here: http://www.viatrading.com/wholesale/453/Product-Conditions.html

All customers who purchase from us must sign a document stating they understand the goods they are purchasing are customer returns, and that they have been informed of the risks and are willing to accept the responsibility of testing and repairing units prior to reselling them. The document that this customer is referring to does also state that there are no refunds or exchanges, but it primarily explains the condition of the goods. In addition, the invoices we generate also confirm the condition of the goods - each product appears on the invoice with its condition next to it.

It is very important to us as a company to set the right expectations. We spend a lot of time and effort providing education, training, resources, articles and tools to ensure buyers are as educated as they can be about the product conditions we sell. We are honestly surprised to hear that despite all the information we make publicly available, that this customer was not aware the goods he was purchasing were customer returns.

We are including a photo of the merchandise and the label stating the condition of the goods, for review.

Despite missing wheels or batteries, these scooters should be able to be repaired and resold for a good profit margin. Parts from one unit can be used to complete one or more other units that are missing parts - we are happy to suggest alternative methods to restore these items as well.

Rick - we have no record of you or your purchase in our system. Perhaps you placed it under a different name. Either way, we invite you to contact us at [email protected] or 877-202-3616 with your invoice number so that we can discuss your concerns and find an acceptable resolution.

Thank you
