A blue screen popped up on my laptop in January of 2016 telling me I need to call Microsoft immediately. I called the 1-800 number only to find out it was virus eraser. The tech said they needed to get into my computer to fix the problem. So being in a panic I allowed them access. Eric told me it would be a simple fix and the cost would be 199.00. I paid the 199.00. Eric said it should take an hour. I called back every hour until 11:00pm cst. I spoke with Sammy, Sarah, Nancy, Michael, Sam and Carol. I was told just one more hour. It still wasn't working the next day. I kept calling them every hour still got the run around. Being frustrated I went to the computer repair store by my apt. Explained to them what happen. They told me the company is a scam, to go home unplug the computer and file a police report. I did exactly as the computer store tech said. After I turned off the computer, I received a call from Carol telling me they weren't done yet. I said yes you are and I want my money back. I called the police made a report. Virus Eraser gave me my money back. Starting in October of 2016 I started getting calls from virus eraser that I owed them money for the work they did on my computer. I told them I paid them, the work wasn't completed and your company refunded my money after I filed the police report. The calls were 2 to 3 times per day from different phone numbers. In the early part of February 2017 the phone calls increased sometimes 9-10 times per day. I've blocked the numbers, however they still keep on calling.

To the owner of the company, if your company is so legit, why is your engish so broken and poor??  Owners of companies tend not to have this problem.  My mother was just scammed by this same company.  Pop up on her computer that she thought was her own personal antivirus software.  Identified as Virus eraser, and told to call 844-748-3555.  She called because she didn't know and gave them $200 to "fix" her computer.  I found out and had her take "measures".  Please people reading this, never respond to popups, verify numbers before you call, look into company info.  Virus erasers website is expired, the phone number she called is private.  I have no idea what they did to her computer.

To the owner of Virus Eraser. If your company is so reputable as you say why did it take this post to stop the phones? Or was it the complaint that I made with the FBI cyber unit or the complaint I made with the FCC and my attorney general's office that got you to stop. You say you had agreements with other companies on selling your product. These agreements represented you and your product. The people I spoke with never even said what company they worked for. I got the name Virus Eraser when I kept calling. What makes this a scam in my mind is I kept asking for a list of the work they supposedly did. I was told I would get a confirmation email on what needed to be done. Never got one. I never asked for your product to be installed. I thought I was talking to representatives from Microsoft, not your company. Here's the best part the credit card number I gave your supposed company was compromised 3 later in the same area according to the credit card fraud unit. Say what you want. It's not going to change my mind. It's a buyer beware.

After reading the above report, i wanted to make sure that the message goes out to everyone who think Virus Eraser is ripping the people. This is  not true. Virus Eraser is a reputable Anti Virus Company which also give support for Windows and Mac computers;based in Davis, California.

We belive in helping the customer who call us for support. Virus Eraser in the process to help more people, signed up with Resellers. These resellers helped us to provide services to the customers on our behalf. Our resellers along with their services, provided Virus Eraser Software, per our agreement.

We observed malpractices and received handful customer complaints based on which we revoked/terminated our reseller agreement with them and they are no longer authorized to sale or use Virus Eraser anymore. Virus Eraser has no control over the sources they use for customer acquisition. They are now calling our customers and giving them all sort of information, like we are shutting down and refunding the money or they call them to charge them more money by promising services in return, none of which happens.

We know it's an inconvenience, but request everybody not to enetertain any calls or pay any money to anybody. Virus is a growing company which definitely believes in customer satisfaction and quality.
