I had Damon Demarcus a sales rep. come to my door to sell me the alarm service on 08/16/2011 at 12:28pm. He had it sound great and due to me owning a child care I thought it would be a great thing to have. He stated that Andy would come back and install the system and that it would be a one year contract for the service and that if there was any problems to call him and Andy and they would get on it and not to call corerate. Andy showed up at 11:48pm to install the service.. I turned him away this was a hudge inconvenence and we were already in bed and asleep! Andy came the next day to install arounf 10:00 am, however I had the kids outside and found him installing the wrong door hardwear .. He was installing the deadbolts which are illegal for the daycare and they were well aware before the purchase and discussed during the agreement. Andy said that he has to install something and that he would come back the following day and change then because they were out of them. The next day came and went I called 5 times left messages. And worse the system didn't work the lock code was not wrking on the door and would arm and lock randomly locking us out or children in the house on many occasion. and setting the system off to the point that someone would call on the intercom system and I informed them that it was not working and some one needs to come and fix it!
I had to climb in though the window to get my kids out of the house and go and get keys to stash outside so we could get in. So what good is a security system if you have to hide keys outside? I called numerous times and no return calls. I have the witnesses of all my parents as to what happened and what was even said and promised during the presentation of the contract! Matters got even worse, the first week of October was below 0 temps and this was the first time we turned on the heat ( their thermostat) and the furnace wouldn't work it just blew cold air I called and they say it would be 2 weeks before someone could come and fix it not 24 hours as promised buring the install. I had to go buy heaters.. and finally on the second day I had a local service company come and fix it. I called vivint over and over again for some one to come and help. and during that time the fire marshal and daycare licencer came and were upset and wanted the deadbolts removed from the door because they were a fire hazard. I explained that vivint refused to take them off and that they were suppost to come and install the proper ones... and it was never done.
On October 31 jay came and to fix the problem I told him that the furnace was working and not to touch the system.. well he did! and said that there was some problems and that he had them fixed.( keeping me from activities with my son. well when we came home we had no heat again!
I called vivint again and said that the tec messed with the sysem that was working for the furnace and not its not working again.. he stated that it would be two weeks again I said that was unacceptible. AI called powder river heating again and they came out again.. I verified with vivint and the worker to rip the therostat out and put a new on in. powder river heating went though the whole system and verified that there was no problem with the furnace and vivint pd both bills to powder river heating and the door locks were removed per a lawsuit from the state.
No I have tryed to get my bill adjust due to I paying for equipment that wasnt installed anymore and they keep pressing to come and reinstall it I told them no. I am finding now that I was suppost to have a 12 pk of light bulbs and 1 more smoke detector, window and door sencors, which were never installed
and now they are saying that I have a three year contract! and I was told it was one. this system is a scam they get in your door promise and never follow though! I have made so many calls between my husband and I and never a returned call! I have names and dates if everyone I have spoken with and accually the contract is null and void due to the fact the system was never installed properly and vivnt will not accept that.... Please help us!
