Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

It all started out well. My fiance and I met with Enzina (the 'partner') and DJ Shake One/Everly. They seemed nice enough. We went over details of what they offered for a wedding and it all sounded awesome. After a decent presentation we agreed to hire them. We went over the contract, signed and gave a deposit of over $400. We requested proof of their insurance in order to send it on to the venue.

We did in fact receive the insurance and faxed it over to our venue, then we mailed the insurance back to the DJ. It seemed strange that they sent us their only copy of their insurance forms, but I didn't really think too much about it. Soon the insurance paperwork arrived in my mailbox as a return to sender. I checked the address on the envalope and it was the same as the address on the insurance form. I tried to call the insurer listed to see what the actual address was, and wouldn't you know the insurer didn't exist. I called one of the sub insurers on the form, and they informed me that this policy had expired years prior.

I got a hold of the DJ and requested a refund. They explained that it was some sort of mixup but agreed to refund our money. A couple of weeks went by, and I called them back. They explained that "the check was in the mail." A couple more weeks, I called, and again the same response.

At this point they will no longer answer calls or email requests.I would like to advise anyone to stay far away from these people. If they behave this way with simple paperwork, it doesn't bode to well for anything that they might do with a wedding. I can only imagine the big day coming and these shmucks not showing up.

Here are their facebook pages so that people can know who they should avoid in the future:

Just to be clear this was solely about insurance. It had nothing to do with the actual dj service what so ever.

We were a pretty small company at the time and did not even notice that our insurance had expired simply because we never needed it or used it. This was the first time it had actually been asked for from a client. Sometimes a venue will require it and this particular venue didn't, so I am not sure as to why the client wanted it so badly.

However it was still our mistake that the insurance was expired so that is why the deposit was refunded. And yes the refund took weeks, but it was the first time we ever need to do a refund so the process was new to us. Getting the deposit back from the Dj, Sound/lighting tech, and copying all the clients info took some time.

The client received their refund within a week after their post on here. Why the client would reduce to calling us names is beyond me. But I guess every business receives a complaint at sometime and this has been our only one to date.

I just want to make clear that the Djs & Dj services had nothing to do with the complaint.

I Angela have now taken over the tasks such as insurance & contracts, therefor the Djs can focus on what they do, DJ.

Please email me directly if you have any questions [email protected]

Amount finally refunded

A few weeks after posting the original report, we finally received the refund in the mail. At least they finally showed they were a legitimate business in some perverted sense of the word. I would still recommend that people never use this DJ's service, but at least they finally came though in the end.

Attempted to send an email to the parent company today Vox Entertainment. I was informed that Vox Entertainment is not affiliated with this group. They appear to be using the Vox name without the permission of Vox itself. It's important to note then, that it is simply these individuals that must be avoided, NOT Vox Entertainment.
