a true full refund would be just under $4-K with my trade-in/ I got rip off. Vroom still has the car and was asking $ 27,780. It was on ebay auto auction and I called and ask if the car has had any paint or body work. I was told by sales advisor that the car has 100% factory paint. This was a 100% lie. no paint work at all. The next buyer will also be ripped off.

Dear Mr. Mark Kline & Texas Direct Auto

I have made calls about being billed by NTTA on a car that was traded in on June 8, 2016. I provided information and was told that VROOM would pay the toll and that this matter will be taken care of. The bill at that time was $3.05. I faxed the first bill weeks ago. As of today the last bill was received on September 30, 2016 in the amount of $13.05. I am sending this certified mail for records. This matter has opened up a huge wound to my dealings with VROOM. I was not treated right with my complaint and issues on the 2012 Hyundai Equus that damages were reported on after my purchase. I took the car in for services. I believe that a full refund is overdue as of today.

The 2010 MB-GLK-350 was traded in, I removed the NTTA sticker. This vehicle was traded in and it should be up to the dealership to transfer the car to the next buyer. I no longer own this car as of June 8, 2016. It is up to the dealer to transfer all dealings on that car after 6/08/2016.

I also took a huge loss on this deal because I trusted that a big auto dealership with the status of “VROOM” would not sale a nice 2012 automobile that has had “PAINT WORK”. This work was not provided to me before the purchase. I was provided a CARFAX that was not updated because VROOM performed the repairs and painted the complete front bumper. THIS IS DAMAGE to any car or vehicle that is said to be free of any damages. A TRUE CLEAN CARFAX TO ME MEANS NO PAINT WORK AT ALL. NO PAINT ISSUES AT ALL. IT IS SAFE TO TAKE THE CAR TO A NORMAL CAR WASH WITHOUT THE PAINT ISSUES that was FOUND BY HUFFINES OF PLANO DURING SERVICE AND RETURN TO CUSTOMER.

I paid out $129 for tint, $62 for a new key, and $25 for a 2012 EQUUS owner manual guide book. I paid $40 for RESEARCH VIN REPORT. This car needed $1042.52 of DAMAGE REPAIR WORK that did not show up on CARFAX or VIN REPORT.  I deserved to receive a FULL REFUND on 8/27/16.

I would have not traded, had I known about the paint work and I believe that I have been Ripped Off by VROOM management at the2615 W. Interstate 20 Grand Prairie, TX.  location. I am requesting a refund of at least $2,736.00 and VROOM paying for all NTTA ZIPCASH charges. I still may consider an attorney but this is not enough money to have to involve an attorney. I can and will tell the truth about this issue and post it on Facebook. I will also report this issue to the BBB and any other consumer protection organization like RIPOFF.com. I hate receiving bills that are not mine. PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS VERY INPORTANT MATTER. If nothing is done in the next 10-days I plan to start my fight for JUSTICE.

Sincerely

Robert V M

Hello Robert

Thanks for reaching out to us about your alleged legal issue with Vroom.  Thanks for your patience and for providing us with information to investigate your concern.

Please take the time to read this email and the attached document.

As you know, Vroom purchased your 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK Class (VIN# WDCGG5GB3AF436008) from you.  You purchased a 2012 Hyundai Equus (VIN# KMHGH4JH9CU045921) from us on June 8, 2016 for $25,480.  The 2012 Hyundai Equus came with a 7 day, 250 mile money back guarantee to test out and return the car for any reason (the “Return Policy”).  You did not return it within the 7 day time period for a full money back guarantee.

Additionally, the 2012 Hyundai Equus came with a 90 day / 6,000 mile limited warranty, which covers most major mechanical repairs.  This warranty must not be confused with the 7 day Return Policy.

On or around August 24, 2016, you approached us with a concern with the 2012 Hyundai Equus claiming it had a painted bumper.  Due to the nature of bumpers it is typical, in the industry, to paint them for aesthetic reasons.  A painted bumper does not rise to the level of "body work" and does not need to be disclosed on CarFax.  You declined our offer to examine bumper at no additional cost to you.  Instead, you entered into a legally binding agreement, selling 2012 Hyundai Equus to us for $23,000.

You now claim that you are owed $3,524, which amounts to the difference between the price you initially paid for the 2012 Hyundai Equus and the amount you contractually agreed to sell it to us, and the costs you paid for alleged upgrades to the 2012 Hyundai Equus.

Vroom has complied with our contractual obligations.  The agreement you entered into on August 24, 2016 stands.  The 2012 Hyundai Equus at issue is now owned by Vroom, and we may resell it at our discretion.

That being said, as a gesture of good faith, we offer you $1,000 in exchange for signing the attached document and returning it to us within one week of the date of email.  As well, we require a copy of your W-9 (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf) .  The offer expires in one week.

Best,

Sarah Feingold, Esq.
