A '98 GMC Jimmy was purchased in February 2003, financed through Wachovia. The payment for the Jimmyis $312. The first payment was due in March and my fiance paid $326.00. Wachovia did not credit the account until mid April. Another payment was made at the branch. The teller lost one of the money orders.

Wachovia called my fiancee. She took the receipt to Wachovia to get the lost money order researched. Needless to say, Wachovia put the $150 in a miscellaneous account, after claiming they knew nothing of the lost money order at the branch. I sent in a payment of $150 to cover the money order.

Then two payments were made in May and June 2003, then a payment and a half was made in July 2003. As always, Wachovia would call saying they need this much money and i would send it via my bank electroically just to keep them quiet. Any time a payment was made, my fiancee or i would call and verify the receipt of the payment. We would be told we are caught up and everything is ok, only to be harassed by Wachovia via phone or a letter a few days later.

On several ocassions, the Wachovia person..( customer service rep does not fit) she even bad-mouthed my fiancee. Then in August 2003, September 2003, and Ocotber 2003, payments in the amount of $462.00 were made electronically from my bank to Wachovia. They still did not credit the account in a timely manner. Wachovia would wait a week before taking the money out. Therefore, making the payments seem like they were late. In October 2003, my fiancee and i decided to buy a house. Wachovia told the bank handling the house loan that payments have NOT been made.

I had to send them a copy of the payment schedule that Wachovia finally sent to me after months of asking for it. I had to explain the situation to the bank. I even sent the bank handling the house loan , a copy of the payment record. I even made a payment to Wachovia last week. Then i found out today, from the bank handling the house, that Wachovia reported that we owe them $460.00. A payment was made last week to Wachovia. According to the payment book, a payment is not due until November 8th, 2003.

So i am really upset that they put a blemish on my A1 credit report. And the fact that they flat out lied about being paid when i have receipts showing payments. It bothers me that Wachovia would just lie. The customer service people are rude. They lie as well. They will not admit to being in the wrong. My fiancee and i are trying to seek help legally in dealing with Wachovia. We are to the point of wanting to rid ourselves of the Jimmy at the beginning of the year just so we will not have to deal wtih Wachovia.

It is a shame that other businesses will believe Wachovia even with my proof of payments and my credit history. This bank have got to be stopped. It is doing not only us but others wrong. We refuse to let Wachovia win.
