my handicap nephew purchased a Nintendo DS from wal-mart may 29th 2008, minutes later he attempted to play with it he noticed the DS would turn on but the touch screen had been destroyed, he became very sad, we got his hopes up telling him we could return it.

while doing the return process the wal-mart employee stated this DS is not the same DS that was supposed to be in the box, that in fact the DS was from GAMEXCRAZY sold in 2004 and there was nothing they could do, obviously there is a crooked wal-mart employee who broke there own DS and switched it,

after figuring all this out we went to GAMEXCRAZY and they explained we did not have a recipe AND the warranty was void.

now, with very few options left, we reported it to our local paper Tri-City Herald

they stated this would be posted, they also referred us to another Local place called At-Home-electronics and they would attempt to fix it for free.

soo, all i really have to say about this is F that F'ing wal-mart employee

First, anyone can make a mistake when typing. Most of us would assume the writer meant receipt. Only an offensive person would take issue with the mistake. Second, the fact the child is handicapped definitely does make a difference. A child that is handicapped does not always have the understanding other children may have. A handicapped child has already experienced misfortune in being handicapped and must deal with disappointment everyday of his or her life. This makes it much worse for this child to experience this disappointment in something that should have been a happy experience. I will say most children would be very upset in this situation. Third, if you check other rip off reports and other similar web sites you will see this writer is definitely not the first person this has happened to. This happens not only at Walmart but also at almost every store that sales electronics. This does seem to be a common occurrence. We should all try to remember to check boxes before purchasing a product. Fourth, before you point out the grammar mistakes made by this writer you should go back and check your grammar, capitalization, and punctuation, it really is lacking.

First off, a recipe is something you use to cook with, a receipt is something you need to exchange something. Why did you mention that your nephew is disabled? That really had nothing to do with being ripped off. That play for sympathy does not work. Did your nephew notice that the box was tampered with? or didn't he check the box? I always open up a box before I buy something like that.
