I used my WAMU credit card to pay for service to my automobile, just like any other transaction. Later while reviewing my bill, I noticed that there was a charge for a "Cash advance".I have never used my card for a cash advance, ever. I don't use the paper checks you can get either.

When I contacted the credit card company I was told that I had to accept the fee and it was the auto service place that made the error.Another way WAMU is getting over on its customers is when you pay off your card balance.

Recently I made a 70.00 payment to my account. Somehow it went through as 700.00, which would have paid off my balance leaving a credit due of around 10.00. As soon as this posted, WAMU decides that I'm a credit risk and lowered my credit limit to 250.00. Keep in mind, I have never had a late payment and always paid more than the minimum due.

When I first noticed the error, I wasn't going to fix it. I figured the 700.00 was there on the card if I needed it.When I realised that they decided to lower my credit limit, effectively making my 500.00 disappear, I demanded they return my 700.00 and accept the 70.00 I intended to pay in the first place.

2 weeks later, Im still waiting for my money.

I apologise for the 'Moron", just a little hot tempered after talking to the idiots at WAMU. Thanks for the support

I didn't catch the "autoplay" place was the problem... This is a good reason not to use auto pay. I don't use it. Never have, and probably never will. Guess I'm old fashioned. I prefer to write out the checks to pay the bills.

""I demanded they return my 700.00 and accept the 70.00 I intended to pay in the first place."" You stated you paid $70 but that they credited you with $700. This was an ERROR! They posted an overpayment of $630. NOW you claim this ERROR is your money and you want it back????
