Website-testers.com scam, ripoff, lies, misleading, non-payment Internet
Website-testers.com is out to rip people off. They do send you a list of websites to test, and you are paid $1 to $5 for each one. I was supposed to be paid $20 for testing 12 sites. I got an email saying that they paid me, but I still haven't seen the money. I believe that they use the initial offer of a job to lure people in and then they tell you that "they don't have any more work in your demographic right now, we'll contact you." But then they send you an email trying to get you to mystery shop for them, you have to pay a fee, in order to rcve higher payments. Yeah, right. I thought they were legit since I found them on one of the legitimate work from home sites that investigate this sort of thing. They were supposed to make sure that the companies they list have been checked out. I guess they had the wool pullled over their eyes too. Lesson learned.

Let me start by saying that the first couple of lines of the original report is accurate - it started with a job posting, you reply to the post and then immediately here that no more work HOWEVER offer something to do (no mention of mystery shopper in my emails) to earn a few $$. Mind you you did have to complete and submit an invoice for each task/assignment. You also had to provide your paypal email address.
Do do you really get paid? Yes - I did get paid. I was charged a fee for conversion of currency (that was not mentioned but not enough to squabble about).
It is YOUR responsibility to follow up when payment is not credited to your paypal account. If you do not see anything and you've received an email saying that your invoice was accepted and will be paid - stay on it.
