Send letters to your Congressional Representatives and the Obama Administration and ask them to open an investigation and use federal subpoenas to find out what Wells Fargo is really up to. They are not really helping and I suspect there are many more out there. We have strength in numbers so lodge complaints.

Your comments have me really scared. I filed for a loan modification last month since my salary was reduced by 50%. Now, Wells Fargo has cut me off from making Internet payments and has not posted my payment that I sent 9 days ago. I have called repeatedly and they cannot give me an explanation. I have always been current with my payments. I am worried that they are purposely not posting the payment since I have over $200,000 in equity and only $85,000 left on my loan. As of today, I have written to the White House and to my local officials regarding the inability to make a timely payment once a consumer requests a loan modification.

I had the same experience. You cannot go through loss mitigation in Fort Mill. You must go to the top of Wells Fargo to get anywhere. Here are some emails to try. I got immediate responses. Keep following up weekly and keep records of everything. [email protected],[email protected],[email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] Also go to NACA. Amazing nonprofit group that will help you restructure your loan and negotiate with Wells Fargo. There are alot of steps and paperwork but they will advocate for you and guide you and it is completely free. good luck to you

I was having ALOT of difficulty with Wells Fargo and their unfufilled promises of modification. I found out recently that my loan is in one of those mortgage backed securities. Part of the problem is now that Wells is only servicing these loans. If they modify them they risk being sued by the "investors". The "investors" ARE now suing them because they mirepresented the loans that are in the packages, which will then make Wells Fargo charge is even more and be even more reluctant to modify loans. (((ROR Redacted))) This site may help in writing the letter to Wells, especially since your house has been on the market for a while. There is a lot of technical jargon which you may want to take out, bu it's a good start. I have also contacted my Governor and Senator....you have to keep on them, but they might help.
