Westgate Towncenter, Kissimee Florida ripoff, maint fees raised first year, told we could sell it back or trade it in some time if preferred, doesn't happen treated just like used car dealers at this point. after buying they tell that they are in the business of selling their units not yours or trading it out to another site, not what they told when buying. Found it nearly impossible to bank and trade time out . Westgate Towncenter And CFI Ocoee Florida
Bought a 3 bd 3 bth lockoff unit at Westgate Towncenter in Kissimmee Florida. Told of fees and if we wanted some day we could trade it back in for some other unit within the westgate empire or sell it back to westgate if we ever got to were we didn't use it anymore. Banked all of the weeks for 2 years could find the time at home to use it, tried to find places to trade it at the beach, didn't happen. Found that Westgate had bought property in the Myrtle Beach SC area, tried to trade for one of these sites, told it didn't happen and we were stuck with our unit in florida. Original sales person was from front office mgmt,tried to talk to him on trading unit, wouldn't return our calls and could not make contact at any level we asked for.
Tried to talk to sales staff at westgate towncenter as they told us at time of purchase that we could trade it in or sell it back when we didn't need it anymore, this was a farce as they then told us we only sell our units and we don't buy back old units, Not what they told us when we bought it.
So with 4 weeks banked up, 2 with westgate and 2 weeks with Intervel,we started trading off time in the middle of winter at a few places. not what we had planned to do with the 5 star timeshare we bought. Tried to sell it off, not happening, even tried to give it to charity to sell off and just take a tax write off, none would take it.
We found we made a mistake trading with this company, and if we ever get a chance to offer it to someone who understands how to play with the folks and use their product as they say to use it, not as they said we could use it when we bought it, we will sell or trade it to them. Not very user friendly at this point, time to pay fees again, told at buying time of total cost of fees and all costs for the unit, then when I went to pay them they were broken down to maint fees , then addd taxes to that fee cost, when I was told the fee cost was all of it in one figure. Not so, I was fooled on this one also. Time to pay the fees and taxes again..
