WESTWAY TOWING ripoff the business that doesnt give a dam LAUDERDALE LAKES Florida
we recieved claim of lien from company we went to recover the car with all the proper paper work and were denied the release they claim that we have to be a licensed repo agent in order to recover our car from the notice of lien .
according to florida statue 493.6102 we are in house reposessor and are not require to have a repo license since we are recovering our own car, with the correct paper work which is required also cash was taken but they think they know the florida statues in reference to the in house repossesor they need to learn or go to school to learn the laws and florida statues if they have any intentions on getting licensed.
i suggest that these types of companies not be allow to operate under any licenses at all they truly are a rip off to the public and to the financial institutions they truly are the car thieves of america...

I read the statue in question. Where does it say that you don't need a repo license. State law states any interested party that wants to take posession of a car must provide proof of ownership. The tow driver "reposessing" the vehicle must show a "repo" licence as well as proof of ownership. Are your agents reposessing cars with-out a repo license? If not, it's called grand theft.
