In 2005 I signed up for Westwood College's Interior Design program. I went in by myself and then went back with my mother. She was very concerned about any contract and wanted to make sure everything was inline. I asked the rep. if the school was accreditted and I was told they were. I intended on furthering my degree after my BA. I entered into the accerlertated 3 year BA program which was 5 days a week for 5-10pm every night. I let then lady who signed me up that I worked several towns over 6 days a week until 5pm everyday. I was told my teacher would be spoken to and they would have no problem with me showing up at 5:30 or so everyday, as long as I was a good student and kept up with my work. I was even sent to the principal of the school and was given a modivational (rehearsed) talk about how many busy people manage and there was no problem with my shcedule.

For the first 2 semesters I had no problems. My teachers had no issue with me showing up and I held a 4.0 gpa. During the 3rd semester my teacher was the head of the interior design department. We were given of progress report to show where we stood. I was handed a -C. I asked the teacher why I had a C when all my papers where A's and a few B's. I was told by her that she had no knowledge that I had permission to show up late everyday and even if I managed an A on every paper she would not be able to pass me. She would be my teacher for the next several classes. With this being said, I went to the lady who signed me up and the teacher, rep and I all went out into the hallway. At that point the rep told her she was informed by me when I signed up that I would be late everyday. The teacher said she was not aware of the deal. At that point she was very rude with me and told me there was nothing she could do for me and I should of gotten something in writting. I went with the rep to her office and sat down almost in tears and explained how she told me it was fine. I was then told that there was nothing they could do for me. Soon after I found out none of my credits from that school transfered and I now owe them over 20,000.

They openned the worst loans for me and now I pay 330 a month for no degree and no transferable credits. I have begun the process of starting all over again with another college, but this experience and the cost has stopped me from being able to be a full time student. I have to work full time to pay the loans and am able to go part time to school now. I need a lawyer!
