These people also threatened me, saying I was hiding a vehicle they owned. They threatened to have me arrested for telling them to cease and desist calling me. They tracked down my landlord after 45 days, they have permission to take the money out of my account but refuse to, and now want to repo my car. They want me to pay with a western union even though my auto debit bounced because they sent me a bill for the wrong amount for a year! I had a lawyer call them and tell them to stop calling me, a cease and desist, but you have to mail it to them... These people will not make good on a loan that they have permission to take out of my account! They are criminals. I will fight them in court!

I bought a car back in september 2007 WDS (wachovia dealer service) financed my car and therfore I got screwed! fast forward one year i lost my job and could no longer afford the monthly payment. I made my last payment in october 2008 and the car just recently got repossessed mid january 2009. What repercussions if any should I be expecting from WDS given that my loan balance was 13,000 rounded off and the vehicle in question was valued at only 8,000 blue book value. Will they try to sue for the defiency balance of the loan? if so when should i be expecting this sort of action. Another big concern of mine is wage garnishment which is something i cant afford now that I am working.

I think it is horrible when companies drag people even further down a path to no return. First off, a divorce, family with a serious illness, or someone undergoing severe financial hardship as a result of a layoff or downsizing, should be dealt with on a CASE BY CASE basis. These companies carte blanche attitudes towards people and a one size fits all solution...IS NOT CONDUSIVE TO THE WAY OUR SOCEITY IS STRUCTURED. PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING IN EVERY ASPECT OF LIFE- SHAME ON YOU WACHOVIA!

Ive been reading all the stories, and one has to look at the simularities. Everone is late on thier payments. Sorry folks, when you become delinquent, you get calls. Their are rules creditors to have to follow. In these stories i dont see anything so agreedious that would allow for legal action by the customers of Wachovia. First of all, they will threaten all kinds of things. NO, they cant take your house for an auto loan. No, driving or hiding a car in the repo proceess in not grand thieft auto. If you have questions on what they can do, say or when they can call and where, id sugest you research online your states laws regarding creditors. One guy stated he had a credit score over 700, that is your business bud, but why are you borrowing from Wachoivia FKA WFS if you have great credit??? Hope this helps clear up some things

I read the comment regarding wfs/wachovia dealer services threatening constumers and also harrassing them. I also have had the same problem. After falling on hard times with a marital separation and lose of substancial income I fell behind on my auto payments. I tried to make arrangements with wfs and initially they did before they merged with wachovia dealer services attempt to assist me. I tried very hard not to be a month behind. They did however even after me speaking with reps and scheduled payments would continue to call 3-4 time daily until a payment was made which disregarding any arangements we made for a payment to be made. When they merged with wachovia I only had about 3 more payments left, I told them i would make a payment and on the first I would make another which was only about a week and a half away I began to get phone calls and reps would say that i agreed to pay account in full and since i didn't they demanded I tell them were the car was and that I was harboring the car mind you at this time the first was only a day away. That day I spoke with several different reps trying to settle this matter they were all very rude and very inpatient. When asked how much my balance was each time I was told something different. I was even told that I must add an extra 100 dollars to my final payment to cancel towing fees since the tow truck came to my residence several times and could not find the car. I assured them that the car was not at all hidden. I then recieved a message on my answering machine to which i saved the message that if i did not pay the car off the full balance which was now 1,200 by the end of the day that this particular rep whose name was Carl would come to my city that evening and file a class felony suit against me he stated it was a 18-2.115 fraud and conversion charge for not surrendering the vehicle. Now say thats not a threat. This was after i told a previous rep that if they could not wait until the next day the 1st then come and get the car because i would not have the money until then.
