I purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer from Lowes in January 2005 for &1000.00 and it worked fine for one year. In February 2006 I started to have electrical problems. Called Whirlpool and they sent out a so called factory certified technician from A&E Factory Service. The first technician did not know the washer from the Duet Dryer. He collected 126.00 and ordered a part.

Two weeks later another technician came out and installed that part and washer still did not work. Ordered another part and two weeks later another technician came out and installed part and machine still does not work. So he ordered another part and left.

New part was installed and washer still does not work.

I have called Whirlpool customer service(thats a joke)6 times and they refuse to replace washer. All I get from Whirlpool is they will send another technician. So I have a 1000.00 hunk of metal that is no good to me.

So the moral of this story is do not buy Whirlpool products, but if you do and have a problem their so called factory certified technicians from A&E Factory Service will not be able to fix your applicance.
