Ok, the third tech came back out two days later. He came armed with a CM500IP, a brand new cable modem, and a laptop computer attempting to prove to me that the problem is on my end. When he got dial-up speed out of his modem on his laptop he simply said "There's not really anything I can do for you, but there definitely is a problem." I have lost all respect for this provider. I am going go call the plant manager today, as he was supposed to contact me yesterday and never did. My modem will not hold a connection for more than 15 minutes at a time now. then I have to power cycle the modem and wait a half hour for it to range the propper frequencies and finally recieve it's configuration, then do it again in 15 minutes if i'm still interested in using my connection.
