Wholesale Marketer Lied To Me About Refunds! Ripoff Orem Utah
On January 12, 2006 I signed up for a free membership. Later that day I received a call from Peter Timoteo saying that he had an awesome deal for me. I listened and was quite convinced that this was a great deal. He really pushed the eBay stuff with me too! Why would eBay support such a terrible company? I was told that if I didn't like the membership that I could cancel at any time. I asked him then if I did decide that I didn't like it and cancelled that I would get my money back. He assured me that I would. I needed to talk to my husband about it first so I asked that he send me an email with all of the information and I would talk to him about it. Well, when my husband called that afternoon I was convinced that this was a great deal and that we should sign up for it. He agreed to let me spend the money to be able to receive their services.
It has been 2 weeks since my account became active and I have sold about 8 items. Two of the items that I has customers purchase had been cancelled because they were "out of stock". Well, being that I thrive on positive feedback on eBay (100% positive) I was pretty upset to have to tell the customer that I had to cancel and refund their money because the item was no longer for sale. Luckily I had really nice people that understood and didn't leave me negative feedback. Angry that I was having to treat my customers this way I called wholesale marketer and spoke to Elwon (NO HE WASN'T FIRED FOR FRAUD ON JAN 9!). He told me that the only thing that he could do was go over to the shipper and talk to them. I was furious! I asked why I couldn't receive a refund and he told me that this was a membership and just like having a membership to say Sam's Club or Costco. He said that if I got a membership from them and I went to shop there and didn't find anything that I wanted to buy then I wouldn't get a refund if I decided to cancel my membership. He said that this was a yearly subscription and the only thing that he could do was not to charge me in January 2007! I was very upset and told him that I wanted a refund and that I didn't want to use their service and he said that the only thing that he can do is not to charge me next year and that he didn't know where I would think that I would get a refund from.
I have to say that if I had known about all the reports filed on this company I would have never signed up for it. It is absolutely ridiculous that they tell you one thing and then do another. They lied to me about the refund and it is clear that they lied about Elwon being fired. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I will spread the word as much as I can until I receive a refund. I am a very dissatisfied consumer!
