Wireless Emporium dba Cellular Outfitter.com Rip-Off & Slow Shipping Lying About Shipping Turnaround Compton, California Internet
I just called the so-called "Customer Service" at cellularoutfitter.com about my EXTREMELY delayed order (# 200450843) and found out I was charged $13.72 for 1st Class shipping, which costs only $3.50 from CA and told her I should get a partial shipping refund because I got ripped and she argued with me about it and did not have ANY apologetic stance whatsoever. It is not possible to know what they will charge for shipping when you load your cart and when you check out through Paypal, until AFTER you have already authorized them the extract the funds. Then.. ..WHAMMY! $13.72 for a few small items that could be sent in a $5 USPS FLAT RATE ENVELOPE!!! I will NEVER buy from this or any other website that is advertised on the ebay page because they are deceptive and non-customer-friendly once they gouge you out of 4 x the ACTUAL shipping cost for the SLOWEST possible shipping method. They LIE, LIE AND LIE on the website that ALL orders are shipped out of their warehouse WITHIN 24 HOURS!! RIGHT!! And I am Santa Claus!!! My order was placed on Dec. 1, so, therefore I SHOULD have rec'd it by Sat. Dec.5 at the latest IF it were shipped when they say and for what I was charged for just 5 SMALL phone covers. It could even have been sent USPS Priority Flat rate for only $5.05 It was not shipped, however, until Dec. 8 ! and is STILL slowly making its way, but is STILL in Compton, CA as of today Dec. 10!! What a sham company!!

Please see my original report for background story on these rip-off artists. This serves as an addendum to thet report with information since discovered. This company rips off buyers by deecptively leading them to believe shipping is FREE and then, once a comittment for the in-cart amount is made, surreptitiously tacking on INFLATED shipping charges for the items purchased and there is NO TURNING BACK OR POSSIBILITY OF ORDER CANCELLATION AT THAT POINT. If a buyer wants to cancel after that, the co. will charge a restocking fee. Please use the physical addresses and actual home office phone numbers to call the co. directly and complain.
In addition to the inflated, gouging shipping charges, the shipping itself is greatly delayed and not as advertised. Their website advertises shipping within 24 hours. NOT SO!!! My order was placed on Dec. 1. For $13.72 on a $16.00 purchase, I fully expected EXPEDITED SHIPPING and that I would have rec'd my order NO LATER than Sat. Dec 5. It is now Dec. 10 and my order was FINALLY shipped on Dec. 8, ONLY AFTER I had to file a Paypal dispute for non-receipt and now it is currently "enroute" by a very slow 1st Class FEDEX/USPS Smartpost Partner Shipping Svc., NOT what I paid $13.72 for AT ALL! When I called the 800# girl told me "NO" when I requested a shipping rwefund for the overcharge and inordinate delay.
In some review sites, this co. is allowed to write and publish their own false reviews in exchange for $$. They claim to have millions in revenue, but only because they are ripping off buyers for shipping, I believe.
Please complain about this sham operation on EVERY site possible and also with your local BBB as well:
Ex: Customer Shipping Gouging, Deceptive advertising, Unethical practices, Slow shipping
