First and foremost please understand that these / this company has no physical stock. They go through dropshippers. How do I know this? Because I used to sell the stuff they claim to give you for free. Let me explain how they are doing it so you understand. 1.) They mark up the MSRP (Suggested Retail Price) and tell you that is the value of the item, in most cases they are telling you the MSRP of when the product first came out 10 years ago, I mean a few years ago... :P 2.) They add what they pay plus a small percentage to the shipping fees. They then order your item or items from the other guy, and his other guy all the way down the 10 man chain until someone gets to the store that sells the item for 10 cents, you know the one your paying $ 19.95 shipping for. (Excuse Sarcasm) Example: Watch (Exotic Company from Brazil) MSRP: $ 59.95 ---- Wholesale Cost --- $ 6.95 Your cost for the FREE watch in shipping costs $ 14.95 or whatever the break down is. So you think your getting a $ 60 watch for free paying only 15 bucks shipping when the watch in fact is only really worth $ 6. Goto Walllmart and you will probably see the same watch for $ 6.97 - And even if they are losing money on small items, they are certainly getting it back in the high end items. No way shipping costs are 35% of the items value such as they claim. It would be more like 10%, and larger oversized items go off weight, not price. I almost posted this on an auction site to sell, but I looked deeper into it before doing so and noticed right away that they were scamming people with over priced shipping charges. I said to myself, there is no way I am degrading my reputation for this. Needless to say, these gift certificate scams go upwards of $ 1,000 Speaking of gift certificate scams try this one. You ever see the vacation certificates, you know the ones. Vegas trip, air & hotel for real cheap. Heres a tip. Vegas hotels will place you in a free room if the following exists. 1.) They have open rooms - It is better to stick people in the room for free and let them put their money into the casino by gambling then losing the potential gambler to some cheaper hotel establishment. 2.) You are a high-roller. Heck, they will even pay for your airfair if that is the case. Just please be careful folks.. Just because a person has an excellent auction rating does not mean they are selling you something good. I was overlooked so many times selling items because I had a low rating, only because nobody bought from me, they went to the people with the ratings. Now they get scammed by these shopping spree certificates. And if reputable car companies are now doing this, then you have to ask what other kind of scams they are involved with.
