World Voice LinkInc WVLVOICEMAI ILD ripoff deception, zilch for customer service line always busy, cancelled service still being charged Bedford Texas
I agreed to try the voice mail service provided by World Voice Link in April 2002. It was my understanding that I could cancel at anytime to avoid being charged the $19.95 monthly fee.
I never used the service and proceeded to forget all about it until I received my phone bill in July 2002 with two months charged by World Voice Link. I called the customer service line at that time and requested a cancellation on my voice mail service that I still had never used.
The representative I spoke with at that time said I would be refunded for one months service and cancelled at that time. The person I spoke with, no name or order number, made it a point to remind me that I did indeed agree to accept the service in question. The phone conversation of the intial sign-up between myself and the representative was played back to me.
I was not disputing that I agreed to try the service and understood what the agreement entailed. I wanted to cancel my service for the voice mail and reembursment for the monthly fees on my bill.
Now it is November, I am still being billed a monthly fee for a service I have never used and cannot get access to discontinue service. Today, November 11,2002, I tried calling again to speak with a representative at a number that is continuously busy, all day every day. ie:(800-228-0452) I did not get through to a real person again.
Another Company appears to be responsible for the billing and inquires ie:ILD Teleservices at (800-433-4518). The person I spoke with was rude and accusing, by stating that I had not contacted them about this issue and they could do nothing about it without the name and cancellation order number, I have neither. I was told I needed to contact the company World Voice Link myself to resolve this. They are and have been unreachable.
Further, I actually had a representative from my phone company Frontier, help me put a call through to ILD. The person at ILD proceeded to tell me in a round about way that this problem is my fault but would put in a request on my behalf to have someone from World Voice Link call me.
