World Voice Link is a fraudulent ripoff business that makes unauthorized charges on verizon phone bill. Bedford, Texas
Upon receiving my phone bill on 5/20/02, I discovered a charge from World Voice Link for $19.95 for "World Voice Link Vmail Mthly Fee" This is something I did not authorize. The contact number on the phone bill is ILD Services, 800-433-4518.
I called this number and was told they do the billing for World Voice Link and they gave me the number to call for World Voice Link, 1-800-228-0452. I have been calling this number for the last 1/2 hour and receive the following message, "Thank you for calling world Voice Link, all of our operators are busy right now, if you'd like to call back you can call back in about 10 minutes, thank you," and the phone then hangs up.
I am quite upset about this as I never authorized the charge and don't feel that the phone company should allow 3rd party charges as a "service" to them when I'm the one who is paying for the phone, this ILD Teleservices is NOT!, as it states on my phone bill, "The following charges appear on your Verizon bill as a service to ILD Teleservices." I am so angry about this, and feel so helpless. The phone company told me that they cannot keep 3rd parties from billing, due to "Equal Access."
