After a year of back and forth conversations on the phone we decided this "Free vacation gift" was a scam. Unfortunately for us we paid over $500 for this free trip. When we sent the request to cancel by registered mail with return receipt we recieved the entrie envelop back as undeliverable. According to the tracking feature on the US Postal Service website, the company moved with no forwarding address.
So if you receive a free vacation especially through Worldwide Travel Center just know they have no customer service skills and you have to pay the money up front before they decline your attempt to take a trip. Additionally, the company could not provide any property they had availability for. They took the money but failed to deliver anything in return except frustration. They have a nice brochure but don't plan on seeing any of the locations they offer.
This is a true scam, with money up front, contact through US Mail, and when your trip is denied no optional dates are provided. You just keep guessing at locations and dates with no resolution. Seems to me that using the US Postal Service to commit a fraud is a felony so why aren't these people in jail?
