After calling my bank service number to check on my account balance and recent transactions last night, I heard one that, for one reson or another, didn't sound right to me. So after arriving at home, from work, I logged onto my banks' web page and looked at my transaction record. That's when I noticed "WCI IFRIENDS" was on there twice. One was for "ELITE" for $9.95. The second was for "VIP" for $6.95. Not knowing what they were, I thought I'd look at the previous months statement to see if by chance they were there as well. Needless to say they were. So I went back further, and further, only to see that they have been stealing from my account since January 8, 2007!!! I have no idea how they got my number and info, but I plan to try calling them, and my bank, in the morning with all the intentions of receiving my stolen funds. Though somehow I doubt that's possible since it's been going on for so long. So everybody start paying close attention to all your statements to avoid being robbed for a prolonged period of time as in my case.

Two accounts were created with the iFriends service in Steven's name one in January 2007 and one in February 2007. On the first account, the user chose to upgrade to VIP-level membership. On the second account, the user chose to upgrade to Elite-level membership. A basic iFriends membership is free however, we have several levels of upgraded premium-level memberships. These memberships charge a monthly fee, and provide access to expanded features on the network. The associated charges are clearly and conspicuously disclosed in advance, and the person who created the accounts chose to upgrade them. Thus, since two accounts were created and both were upgraded, Steven received two charges per month. The person who created the accounts in Steven's name provided Steven's credit card and address information, which was verified to be accurate by Steven's bank. The person also provided an email address. We will be happy to share this information with Steven or the appropriate authorities, if Steven believes he was the victim of credit card theft. Whenever we send a charge to a credit card, we also include a toll-free telephone number that can be used to contact us if there are any questions about the charge or about the account. As Steven states, he has been billed monthly since January 2007 each time a charge appeared on his card (at least 38 separate times), this contact telephone number also prominently appeared. We also provide a link to email and telephone contact information on every page of our website. To date, we have not received any contact from Steven. If he believes that another individual committed fraud by using his credit card and personal information without authorization, we urge him to contact our Customer Care department immediately. Our Customer Care department can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 1-800-243-9726 (a toll-free call). Our company has an exemplary 11-year-record with all of the leading consumer protection agencies, and we are "best in class" in our industry in the development of model online consumer best practices. Every one of our web services is verified by TRUSTe to be on its sealholder list of "the most trustworthy online businesses."
