I just called WPI*IFRIENDS' 1-800 number and cancelled the charges. The gentleman I spoke with was very friendly and did not try to talk me out of it. He also says that he refunded my last 2 charges of $6.95. I will follow up next month when I recieve my next statement to see if this is true. Apparently, my account was still active even though I cancelled it the first day. In order to cancel the account, you are supposed to enter your login ID, password, and credit card info a second time to verify that you want to close the account. This is not made very clear at the web site. The 800 number is 1-800-437-4363. If you are still getting charges, call them and explain (nicely) that you did not authorize the charges. If you have any bank overdraft charges caused by this, those charges are bank charges that you will likely need to take up with your bank. Depending on your bank and the teller you speak with, you may or may not have some luck removing those charges.
