Hi,

I'd like to advise everyone about an online supplement scam. It starts off by advertisements all over the internet. Some advertisements may start off by a false story about Tiger Woods or some other star being busted for performance enhancing drugs. It usually includes a reporter doing a story on it and deciding to try it out and getting unbelievable results in just 4 weeks.

The article I saw was from a website that appeared to be "Men's Health". It had the same logo at the top but it wasn't the website at all. A friend sent me the article on this and I have to admit, I got sucked in. It claimed to be all natural products and I thought I'd try their trial and cancel if I wasn't satisfied with it. I made the mistake of not reading the Terms and conditions and thinking that I should be able to try it out before getting billed for the next month.

Well, 14 days after they shipped my trial order I got billed for 2 more bottles in the amount of $250. I haven't even received my trial order yet and didn't for another 2 weeks but yet they charged me for another order. I immediately sent them an email and expressed that I wanted to cancel boh orders and demanded my money back. They would not give me my money back and advised me that they operated within the law.

Recently, I was talking to my brother and he mentioned that the same thing happened to him but he was able to get though by phone and demanded his money back for the same reason...he was billed before receiving his trial offer. They refunded him. This prompted me to email them again. I could never get through to the phone number that they supplied. It just keeps ringing. I emailed them and asked them why they refunded my brother and not me. I'm sure it was because my brother was livid on the phone and they refunded him.

The emails wnet back and forth and eventually got through to Mary Wilson, if that's her real name. She mentioned the same thing...I was not getting my refund. I kept asking for a phone number of someone who would hear my complaint and give me my refund but they would not give me that information. The last email was from me to Mary when I mentioned that I knew they were a scam as the website had a comments section at the bottom with comments from users who were very happy with the product. These comments were all sent within the last couple of minutes to show that the product is trending. The problem is that we were not able to add our own comments. Unfortunately, I found this out after I was charged and I was researching the company.

Here are the emails that were exchanged:

 

Dear Rob,

I understand how you feel although you also have to look at it from our perspective. We will not be able to operate as a company for a long time without following all the necessary rules and regulations mandated by law. Being an e-commerce firm, the main protocol would be to have a visible and concrete terms and conditions present on each and every websites that we have. Clicking any advertisement will route to our website and as a fail safe plan, any order cannot literally push through without manually checking the box that says "I agree to the terms and conditions". We do not think that it is fair on our side if we have provided these explanations prior to any order if a customer fails to read them.

As much as we would like to provide you a refund, we can not be able to do that as the 30 days money back has already ended. 

We already closed your account. Please be informed when a customer buy something in a department store, he/she have opened and consumed some of it, the management will not let him get his money back especially when the customer exceeded the money back guarantee. There is no other option that we can provide you regarding your refund.

Rest assured that no more future charges will be taken out & no more products will be sent out.

I realize that products are not being sent and that I'm not being charged anymore. That is not the issue. The issue is, you obviously gave my brother a refund most likely because he screamed at you and demanded his money back. I am not screaming, yet! Why did you give me a different story than you gave him?
You and I both know that this is how you're making your money! You charge the customer before he has a chance to cancel and you make a quick $250 before they realize they've been charged...and then you stick to your guns and don't offer a refund unless the customer is irate and demands a refund. My brother was irate!
 
You can tell this is a scam by how you're comments section in your website works. You have a few comments about how customers have had unbelievable success with these products and these posts are always posted 2 seconds ago...1 minute ago...5 minutes ago, to give the impression that this product is trending at the moment. Yet you don't allow us to enter our own comments, The website doesn't allow you to do that. Why? Because you know you would be bombarded with negative comments which would scare buyers away.
 
I'm still waiting for a name and phone number!
