Yamaha Motor Corporation Extended Y.E.S. Warranty Grossly Misrepresented Cypress California

When I purchased my 2012 Hurricane deck boat the dealer provided me an extended 3 year warranty, referred to as a Y.E.S. Warranty, from Yamaha Motor Corporation on my 150 hp outboard motor as a sales inducement.
The boat dealer indicated the extended warranty was transferable to a subsequent owner of the boat. I reviewed the Yamaha Motor Corp. website to make sure and Yamaha indicated that, yes, the warranty was indeed transferable.
I sold the boat in early September 2013 and wrote a letter to Yamaha Motor Corporation's Warranty Department requesting the Y.E.S.warranty be transferred to the new owners. Yamaha could not be bothered to reply to my letter nor did they transfer the warranty.
After several phone calls to Yamaha I was finally able to reach a snotty, arrogant service rep who informed me they "didn't reply to letters" and the boat would have to be inspected by an authorized Yamaha boat dealer and the dealer would have to have the warranty transferred.
I pointed out to the Yamaha rep that I paid $525.00 a year to keep up the warranty and neither the boat dealer nor the Yamaha website menationed this cosy little arrangement thay had with boat dealers encouraging them to push Yamaha outboard motors so they could make a killing on warranty inspections. At that point the rude little b*****d hung up on me!
I paid nearly $18,000.00 for my Yamaha Outboard Motor and I would never purchase another Yamaha product of any kind. I have no further interest in dealing with a large arrogrant corporation that feels it must misrepresent its warranty and rip off the customer with outragious "warranty inspection fees" and then blow off customer concerns by rude, snotty representatives.
