Ybuy -Cricket very deceptive, consumer beware Nationwide
Consumer beware! Cricket offers a "financing" company to purchase phones. YBuy is the name of their financing company. What they neglect to inform you is that the payments set up and agreed to are on a 12 month plan, in which you will get charged rental fees' after the first 90 days. Also they will not allow you to make payments at Cricket location to go to YBuy.
Ybuy says you have 90 days same as cash, however you will have to make additional payments to get the phone cost down in 90 days. They do not let you know that after the 90 days you will have rental fees and other additional fees. In my case I bought a $600 phone that will now cost me $1200.00.
Since I didn't discover their "screw the customer" scam until after my 90 days I'm stucking either returning the phone and loosing money or paying more money than the original cost of the phone.
Also if you need to call Ybuy customer service call early in the morning. Later than 10 AM and they say they are experiencing high call volumes (wonder why??) and to leave a contact number, but they don't ever call you back.
Cricket and Ybuy's partnership and this program is unexplained and they blame the customer for "misunderstanding". Thought I'd put on the web what their program is really about so that hopefully others know that they like to rip off people and deceive their customers.
