In response to David Blair's complaint. The sofa that was left was not our responsibilty, the foreman (Steve) asked David's move represenative if the couch was to be transported and he was told no. We offered to pick it up the following day for a small fee, and were told not to. David's items were noted on inventory sheets, which were signed off on by his reprensative. David was also instruceted that his shipment would be delivered within 10 to 14 business days from the time we were informed we could deliver. His shipment was recieved on the 9th business day and the 14th day overall. On the 9th of July his driver was shut down by the DOT late that night because of the amount of time he had been driving. I informed David of this on the 10th as soon as I was informed of this drawback. Keep in mind no exact delivery date was promised, only our best estimate. As far as the damages go, I requested that David detail the damages and provide pictures for our claims process. His respones was that he doubted that any damage claim would warrant a response from us. I await his damage claims so we may reslove this issue yet other than a vauge outline of a few minor damages I have not recieved the information to submit a claim. The sofa which was not picked up on the move date (which my foreman still insists he was originally told not to move). The couch was picked up a couple of days later this should not be an issue. I don't not understand why this is a matter in this complaint, my movers do not intentially leave items when they are told that they must go, this incurs additional costs for me and we try to be as efficent as possible with our relocations. As for the the compensation for wages, this absurd. I told David that we were delivering in Las Vegas on the 9th of July. I told David that we should be there the following morning. I never promised or guaranteed the date. As it were the shipment was delayed due to DOT regulations (which should be a concern to Mr. Blair because these situations determine delivery time). He was informed of the delay as soon as we were. I arranged for another company to help offload his shipment on the evening of the 10th. He requested that the crew deliver the following day. Since we did all we could to have David's delivery performed as soon as possible and since we had no binding gauranteed delivery dates, I believe this is also not a warranted complaint for compensation. They only matter that we will offer compensation for is damages, when David provides us the necessary information we will continue that process.
