Zingotel - Zingo Telecom can not provide service, yet bills even when you have another provider ripoff Fort Lauderdale Florida
I signed up for this phone service 11/28/06. On 12/13/06 I notified them that their service was not working. They promised to fix, but never did. I was still using my old provider (verizon) when they called on 1/3/07.
This is when they insisted they were providing me service & verizon was not, which was an impossibility because their box did not work & was not hooked up to my computer. That is when they maliciously & vindictively had my phone service terminated with verizon against my express wishes!
They did this to try to force me to use their service, but I could not because they basically could not provide it. They would not tell me where to send the boxes back to, so I sent them to 2929 E. Commercial Blvd, #610.
I notified them on 1/5/07 that I needed my number ported back to verizon so I could have a phone. My son was very ill at the time, & I needed a phone for the school to contact me and so I could contact the Doctor's. They made it very difficult for me, and I did not have a phone for over 5 weeks--which was when Verizon finally got my number back & could turn on my phone. I also emailed them on 1/23/07 and 1/26/07 regarding the need for my number to be ported back to verizon. Verizon was finally able to provide me service on 2/8/07.
On 2/4/07 I received notification that Zingotel was going to bill me for service that was never provided. I emailed them back telling them not to bill me, and they emailed back indicating they would look into it. On 2/8/07 I emailed them again about this billing, and they did not respond. So I disputed the bill with my credit card, and they did not respond to the credit card company either. The case was resolved in my favor.
On 3/3/07 Zingotel sent me another email stating they were billing me for service. Again, not provided at this point I had been using verizon for almost a month. I emailed them back explaining this again. Yet again they just ignored me, so I disputed the charge with my credit card and the case was resolved in my favor.
On 4/5/07 Zingotel sends me another invoice. I emailed them again and again no response. I disputed this charge as well.
On 4/24/07 I receive a email stating that my account is delinquent. They include the lie that "despite numerous attempts to resolve past due balances they have been forced to terminate service." First of all, they have never tried to contact me. I had been attempting to contact them to resolve the situation only to be ignored. Secondly, how can they terminate service when it was never provided. Thirdly, I had been notifying them since December 13th 2006 that their service was not working and they that I wanted to stay with verizon because of this.
I did email them, and called on 4/24/07. They insist I owe this money, but will not disclose the full balance. I asked for a supervisor and she said the owner was her supervisor. He refused to speak to me, which frankly I find rather cowardly and shows that he knows he is in the wrong.
Since they did not live up to their part of the contract to provide phone service, I do not owe them anything. They are trying to bill me for approximately 5 months of service, when they never provided me with service for even a second!
