Westar Energy I had paid my electric bill on time, however this company did not inform me that they wanted more than the minimum amount paid, so they shut my service off without notice. I immediately paid the past due balance, and was told the the service would be restored, however the hours crept on, and then they informed me that they will restore my service sometime the next day, and that there was nothing I could do about it, and that they were busy with new customers. Therefore I am a paying customer without power. Avoid this company at all costs. Topeka Kansas

Westar Energy I was over charge for service I did not use. Topeka, Kansas
I departed for vacation June 24, 2010 and return home Augusta 8, 2010. When I leave home I turn my central air and heating unit to off. I unplug all electronic devices expect the refrigerator. I received an $148. 52 bill reading that I use 1402 KWH.
