Mastercraft Heating & Cooling Overcharging - Charged $304 for a $20 part. Redford Michigan
Our a/c was not working. We called for service on a weekday, during the day, non-emergency. The tech came and quickly guessed what the problem was and replaced the dual capacitor at the compressor. He gave me the bill for $304 - $85 service call + $219 for the capacitor. I paid him ...

6/23/09 The technician came out, stated that my central air conditioner had multiple problems and repairs would total $2,000 and should just be replaced at a cost of $2,500. He did not have a receipt book and also left a cigarette butt on my lawn.
