Amazon Amazon.com Amazon does not investigate theft/loss/fraud by UPS then refuses refunding/replacing items.
This case involves Amazon and 4 tires shipped via UPS with "signature required" delivery. Of course they were not delivered, there was no knock on the door, no ring the door bell and no signature obtained by UPS or I even saw a driver or truck on 2/27/2020.
UPS somehow wrote in a printed form delivered with "LE" and that is all. I did notify UPS and they claim to be investigating. UPS even agrees that an actual signature is suppose to be obtained from the person who accepts delivery. The signature is captured on a handheld device the driver has and is saved as actual proof and can be accessed normally on the UPS website.
I contacted Amazon and spoke with their "leadership" in Kentucky today, "Maribell" says she has no knowledge of how UPS obtains signatures and that just the printed in UPS delivered indication is enough that Amazon says it is delivered. Maribell even was told and aware that UPS has their investigation into where the packages are and what happened with no actual signature obtained. Maribell then sends me an email that Amazon has no responsibility after a shipper claims the items were delivered. This is even though UPS has contrary information that they are looking for the packages and signature of who they were delivered to.
In summary Amazon is pretty pathetic and I just wanted to post this to make people aware of how Amazon treats people and that they will NOT confront UPS or file claims (that is exactly what Maribell told me) against UPS. I will file with VISA if necessary but some of the payment was done with Amazon gift card money so there is another lesson. Never allow Amazon to put gift card money in your account. Always demand any refund money to go back to your credit card. Beware Amazon not a safe place to do business and they will not back up their customers.
