The Appliance Repairmen The Appliance Repair Men "BAIT & SWITCH" BEWARE! Tempe AZ
I contacted "The Appliance Repair Men" on 10/02/2020 to fix our refrigerator that wouldn't dispense ice or keep food below 45 degrees in the fridge section. 2 Men came out, 1 hour after the schedule time, and briefly looked at the problem and determined that the control board needed to be reset and it would cost $300 with a 90 day warranty. After they were done with the repair, we were told to leave the refrigerator unplugged for 48 hours and then turn it back on. We followed their instructions and after 48 hours, we plugged it in and nothing had changed.
Food was still at 45 degrees and no ice could be dispensed. I called and told the company that the repair didn't work and they sent the two repairmen out again to check it out. Rather than even checking the refrigerator, they just asked what the problem was and I said the problem is the same as it was before you "repaired" it. They said that they could replace the control board for an additional $650 to $900. After already paying $300 for nothing, I wasn't about to pay $900 to see if that might fix it.
Cheaper to buy a new fridge. I said I just wanted a refund for the repairs, that were guaranteed for 90 days, that did not work. They said the would have to check with the boss, and I haven't heard back since. This company is "BAIT & SWITCH" at it's finest.
