Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was rear ended at a red l light in January 2017. It took 3 years and SEVERAL attorneys (which I was never updated/ informed when I was assigned to new attorney... due to HIGH turn around) No one (lawyers) ever knew info to my very simple case. I requested my file from Bergquist. Which has si much information filled out incorrectly.

WHY HIRE A LAWYER WHEN THEY ARE NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO FILL OUT THE PAPER WORK THEY ARE HIRED TO FILL OUT?!... Claims were filed incorrectly. David's response... "YOU" deal with it. I communicated with David Bergquist about ALL my GRIEVANCES. He doesn't care. Much less ACTUALLY take responsibility.

I was told over and over my grievances were of no importance or TRUE. Even after providing him with supporting documentation. He SIMPLY discarded me. In hindsight... on top of all the distress I had dealing with Bergquist, I was also a victim of sexism. I see SOME reviews that are positive (maybe "real" ... because so many are clearly FAKE) and out of ALL THE LAWYERS & 3 FIRMS IM SURE SOME CASES HAVE TO HAVE BEEN HANDLED CORRECTLY AND EFFICIENTLY... BUT BERGQUIST PICKS AND CHOOSES, IN THEIR BEST INTEREST, AS THE CASE TRANSPIRES.

I am a single Mexican Mother trying to WORK and raise my child. They saw me alone and they Discriminated against me. They always spoke down to me as if I was ignorant, also. Which I addressed with Bergquist and he didn't Even acknowledge. I went in yesterday to pick up the portion of my settlement that I did not agree with.

They will not give you YOUR money unless you sign the "dispersal" stating you are in agreement with "EVERYTHING" (which is the reason I did not sign it several months ago) I CLEARLY STATED... I AM HERE FOR MY CHECKS, I DON'T AGREE WITH THIS DISPERSAL, BUT THERE IS NO OTHER WAY THE GET MY MONEY... THAT THEY DIDN'T ROB ME OF.

Goodwill (lawyer I dealt with yesterday) stated got signed a contract with percentages at beginning. I responded ... YES the contract I signed before "services" were rendered (LACK THERE OF)... so they act as if it's "black and white" by IGNORING all my complaints/ grievances. Completely discarding ME & MY VERY REAL COMPLAINTS of how Bergquist DID NOT DO RIGHT BY ME OR MY CASE.

I was a petty little nothing woman that allowed them (trusted in their words) to take FULL ADVANTAGE of me, only because if my ignorance at the time. I stated to David Bergquist... Bergquist law firm Counts on making money off of the ignorance of their clients. I just happened to fall into that category.... of non importance for Bergquist. I could go on and on... it's been 3 years of Hell with Bergquist law firm

What Exactly Did You Need A Lawyer For?

I was rear ended at a red l light in January 2017. It took 3 years and SEVERAL attorneys...  OK, let's stop there.  You were rear-ended.  Were you injured?  You didn't indicate what you need a lawyer for.  Just because you get rear-ended doesn't mean you go to an attorney unless you are injured, or something to that affect.  There is nothing here as to why.

WHY HIRE A LAWYER WHEN THEY ARE NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO FILL OUT THE PAPER WORK THEY ARE HIRED TO FILL OUT?  Maybe the question is why go to an attorney at all?  And no, most of the claims forms need to be completed by you as the client, not the lawyer.  So when the lawyer told you, "YOU" deal with it", he meant for you to complete the paperwork.  That's your job.

BUT BERGQUIST PICKS AND CHOOSES, IN THEIR BEST INTEREST, AS THE CASE TRANSPIRES.  Most lawyers who work on contingency will select cases that will earn the most fees for them and the most for their client.  So yes, they will pick cases that will earn them more money.  That's what they do.  You still haven't told us squat about why you went to a lawyer.

They will not give you YOUR money unless you sign the "dispersal" stating you are in agreement with "EVERYTHING"  Again, that's pretty standard.  No attorney is going to disburse funds to you without you signing off on the disbursal.  The disbursal is based on the agreement you initially signed.

I DON'T AGREE WITH THIS DISPERSAL, BUT THERE IS NO OTHER WAY THE GET MY MONEY... THAT THEY DIDN'T ROB ME OF.  They're allowed their fee and whether you agree to it, or not is irrelevant.  You signed on as their client and you agreed to the fee percentages.  The lawyer dictates what the %'s are.  This is not a debate.  There is no grievance.  You don't get to take some of their fee because you think they didn't earn it.  You agreed to give them the fee - period.  There is no renegotiation....of something you already agreed to.  That would be unethical.

so they act as if it's "black and white" by IGNORING all my complaints/ grievances. Completely discarding ME & MY VERY REAL COMPLAINTS of how Bergquist DID NOT DO RIGHT BY ME OR MY CASE.  Yes, it is black and white because you signed a contract stating the %'s were black and white.  Those %'s and fees are based on their efforts in dealing with insurance companies.  They aren't there to do anything else except that.  If they didn't fill out forms you should have done, then you should have filled out the forms.

I was a petty little nothing woman that allowed them (trusted in their words) to take FULL ADVANTAGE of me, only because if my ignorance at the time.  You admit they followed the contract you signed.  There is really nothing else for you to complain about.  The fact you had to fill out forms sounds like you are way too entitled and use the petty little minority single mom (and you forgot the disabled card) excuse way too often.  BTW, your status is irrelevant to this discussion.

You hired a lawyer who works on contingency - they only get paid when they obtain a recovery and will choose not to take a case if there is little recovery possible.  PI lawyers don't complete forms for their clients unless there is an administrative assistant in the office who takes pity on a client.  Contingency lawyers take their share based on what they can secure from an insurance company - that's the only real value of the lawyer.  You get the rest of whatever settlement was negotiated.  Also, no lawyer will take on a client without signing the attorney's agreement - like the one you signed.  If you don't sign it, then you don't have a lawyer.
