I purchased my car back in March 2019. I was referred to Ron by my husbands co-worker. We went in to purchase a used car. The current car we had began to give us troubles so we knew it was time for a new car. We owened the car so we traded it in and gave a additional deposit towards a used 2006 Toyota Highlander.
Upon buying my car I wasn't offered a warranty the car was a used card but Ron assured me that if there was any issues he would be sure to fix them.. They are a small business and I am all for giving people a chance but I couldn't be more disappointed and disgusted by the service I received. 1st off I went to register my car. Upon trying to pick up my tags I was told there was no emissions done on my car... In the state of GA its illegal to sell a car with no emissions... I was upset and reached out to Ron... I was met with no response... Shortly after that the back passengar window where my son sits stop working. Then it was the AC.
Our car was purchased when it was colder so there was no need for AC... Once May hit it was hot... We turned our AC on and it blew nothing but hot air... So we took it to get some coolant and the system charged. We found out the AC Line had a hole in it... We reached out to Ron, no response.. Called, left messages etc etc... We had to finally resolve to going to the DEALERSHIP... We were told they would fix it, they referred us to their mechanic... He said he would order the part and have it fixed in a week... That was in MAY... Its July and my car still isn't fixed.. I have been there on several occasions , spoken to Ronald Jr, the mechanic etc... Always being told they are working on it... Its a joke.. I am posting this to save someone the trouble and stress... I was given their word 3 times that my car would be fixed.. Still nothing, so I am resolved to handle this in other ways... PLEASE BEWARE purchasing a car from them... Check their rating on the BBB website and Google, do your research and protect yourself...

For every fool who got a "great deal" on a car by buying it "As Is" and then expected the seller to act as if there's an active warranty when something went wrong. I wonder- do you refuse insurance, and then file a claim when you're in an accident?
It sounds to me like you made a decision to Save Now, Pay Later- in other words, to buy a car "As Is" and hope for the best- and didn't get the car checked out by a mechanic first, because hey that costs money too- and now that the car needs repairs you want to demand the seller act as if you purchased a warranty. Not going to happen.

They DID NOT sell you the car with a warranty, did they? Yet some guy tells you they will fix it, right? Did it ever occur to you the ambiguous nature of that statement? If they were so willing to fix the problems, why wouldn't they include a warranty which is a BINDING CONTRACT for them to do so??? Oh, but you "trusted" them. YOU ONLY TRUST SOMEONE WHO HAS A TRUSTWORTH TRACK RECORD WITH YOU! How hard is THAT to understand? What is wrong with you people??? You then bring the BBB into this as if the BBB is in itself some great bastion of trust, integrity and honesty. The BBB is NOT part of ANY government or law enforcement body even though they refer to themselves as "the bureau" as if they were the FBI. The BBB's ONLY purpose in life is to SELL their PHONY "accreditations" and PHONY "ratings" to ANY business which wants to BUY into the BBB con-game. This dealership, like many others and many other businesses can BUY their "A+" rating with the right amount of money then continue to scam the public while hiding behind the BBB. These are FACTS which every legitimate business person knows, especially those who have been on the receiving end of the BBB shakedown.
Now wise up! Don't ever, ever go into any car dealership again without being ready to walk out when you don't like the numbers or terms. YOU are the customer. They need you. You don't need them. The reason the Sleazy American Car Business exists is because the majority of people who walk thru their doors haven't the slightest clue as to what they are doing. The car business is the SLEAZIEST sector of retail in this country. I don't want to to ever again be victimized by these stinking slimeballs of retail!

I'm a consumer and have nothing to do with the dealership. However, I've purchased many vehicles over the years and when purchasing a used vehicle, it is always sold AS IS, unless you purchase a warranty with it. Check your contract. What does it say regarding a warranty?
If you have a warranty, is this repair covered? If so then push the dealership for a repair now. Taking more than a month to complete an authorized warranty repair is unreasonable and a sign of something else happening. If no warranty is on this vehicle, then go get your car and take it to a legitimate mechanic to get repaired and pay out of pocket like the rest of us do on our AS IS purchases.
I have never heard of a dealership covering a repair on an AS IS purchase months after purchase. It just doesn't make sense.

...and once again, the "he assured me" and "I wanted to give a small business a chance" dodges. You failed to do your due diligence. You took an oral contract from a total stranger. You got shafted and it's pretty much your fault for being lazy (sorry, "trusting") and in too much of a hurry to do your homework.
