When Carvana delivered the car that I bought they did not give me a copy of the contract and did not tell me what the account number was and where I was supposed to make my first payment. My first payment was due on 1 December 2023. After not hearing from Carvana I telephoned them on 27 November trying to make my car payment. They transferred me to their financial company Bridge crest and they refuse to accept my payment that was due in 3 days. I was attempting to pay them VIA a credit card. They wanted me to sign up for auto pay that I refused (I always make extra principal payments), they wanted me to pay VIA a debit card that I don't have. Then they awnted me to drive 34 miles to the nearest Walmart and pay at the Walmart. I mailed them a check. Carvana never told me that I would NOT be able to pay VIA a credit card before I bought the car. After spending more than 2 hours on the phone with Carvana Resolution Department and a 3-way call with Bridge crest they were unable to resolve my issues. I informed Carvana that I had requested BINDING ARBITRATION (per my contract that they finally emailed me on 9 December 23) and CARVANA received the letter on 11 December 23). Carvana told me that I only had 30 days to file for binding arbitration. I asked them where does it state that in the contract and they were unable to find it, (there is no 30 day restriction in the contract). Then Carvana told me that I had to hire an attorney BEFORE I could file for binding arbitration. I told Carvana that it was NOT REQUIRED to have an attorney for binding arbitration and that I woukd be representing myself. Carvana said that until I hired an attorney they would not participate in binding arbitration. I told them then I wanted my contract VOID since they refuse toi comply with the colntract. They said no attorney, no binding arbitration and that the contract would NOT BE VOIDED. I am a 73 years old senior citizen, US Marine and RETIRED US Army and I have a flip phone that I can only talk on and I have limited ability on computers. CARVANA is taking advantage of SENIORS and VETERANS. I would NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY A CAR FROM CARVANA! They are a terrible copmany and do not care for their customers.
