Dale's A-1 Transmission Would not pay for work they authorized. Mitchell South Dakota
One of Darren's customer's brought his vehicle to me that Darren overhauled the transmission on. It had codes and shifted hard, missing 4th, 5th, 6th gears. Input output sensors were the only hard codes. This was the second time this vehicle was brought in. The 1st was a misadjusted shifter cable. I spoke with Darren explaining it needed sensors but his customer probably done something to the transmission and it was debris on the sensors and asked if he wanted to change the sensors. His answer was yes, but not if the pan was full of metal.
The pan was not full of metal so I changed the sensors. This did not fix the transmission but eliminated the only hard code in the transmission. After the fix was done I called Darren again to find out what Darren wanted to do. The answer was pull the transmission and send it back to him. But he didn't think he should pay for the repair I had made because it didn't comepletly fix the transmission. He didn't pay and I'm out $345. Although Darren fixed the transmission and partially paid for the labor I'm still out $345.
