Purchased motorcycle forks on 2/1/2021 for the amount of $689.45.
The forks were missing pieces to complete the job. Missing fork-stop parts. Numerous attempts to contact DNA went unanswered. Calls, emails. DNA finally shipped the missing parts only after the charge was disputed with CapitalOne. This issue is resolved.
Upon installing the forks on the bike, after a road test it was discovered that the fork seals were leaking and needed to be changed. I called DNA Specialty on 3/1/2021 and asked who will pay for this. They said to create an invoice and email it to DNA. I emailed invoice on 3/2/2021. I emailed again on 3/5 to “remind” them. Since I hadn’t heard anything.
It is now 4/2/2021.
I have called and emailed to follow up and my inquiries go unanswered, just as in the first incident. The total amount of the invoice for repairs is $445.80. This is the amount I am seeking to recover. I should not have to absorb this cost due to a faulty product.
It is now 7/8/2021.
After numerous emails and calls to the managaer "Jerry," the situation is still not resolved. Jerry has said he will call me back at least ten times. Never a call back. No follow up. They are just hoping I will go away.
They will try and say their policy is to return the item for a replacement. It would have cost more in labor to remove the forks and return them than simply repairing them.
I am seeking a refund of $445.80. The amount of the fork seal repair and other modifications to the front end to make it function correctly.
