I am a 70 year old senior citizen who feels that he has been taken advantage of by Marra Ent./Ryan Marra. I've used Marra Ent., as needed, over the past 10 years with good results. This year I once again hired Marra Ent. to sealcoat my driveway. On 8.5.19 they performed the service. All seemed fine until the sealcoat dried. I then noticed 3 areas that displayed uneven application of the material that was evident to the naked eye. There also were unexplained hot tar drippings forming unsightly circles in the driveway. All were obviously a result of inferior sealcoating material and/or poor workmanship.
I called Ryan Marra/Marra Ent. to register my complaint and to tell him that I was disappointed in the job. Mr. Marra assured me that he'd "make it right". After 2 weeks of no contact I called Mr. Marra's personal cell phone and left a message to see when he was going to return. No reply. I placed 2 additional calls, at one week intervals, again leaving messages asking when he was going to return. Again to no avail.
On 10.12.19 I wrote a letter to Mr. Marra, as I felt another phone call would be fruitless, explaining that a simple phone call would have resolved the issue and imploring him to respond. Once again the letter elicited no reply from Mr. Marra. I guess as Marra Enterprises grows, customer service shrinks and is no longer first and foremost.
I don't expect any remuneration from Mr. Marra, but I would like to warn any future customers, especially seniors, to be on guard. I paid Mr. Marra in full when the job was completed. I did make my check out to Marra Ent., not to Ryan Marra personally as his statement requests. I don't quite understand the underlying reason why he would request payment as such..
