paypal mastercard by synchrony bank paypal mastercard issued a chargeback in my name fraudulently Internet
I purchased an item for around 8 dollars on ebay a month ago using my paypal mastercard thru the paypal service. received the item perfectly and gave positive feedback, totally satisfied with the experience. One month later i am notified that my paypal mastercard has initiated a chargeback in the amount of 118 dollars for the item i purchased and received. I contacted synchrony bank the company that runs paypal mastercard and they said there was no record that I initiated a chargeback, checked with ebay and paypal and they both insisited that paypal mastercard informed them of the chargeback being issued. there doesn't appear to be any other fraud or hacking on my account, but synchrony bank definitely inititiated the chargeback with the incorrect amount of 118 versus the real purchase price of only 8 dollars. There seems to be no recourse to me. i contacted the seller and assured him i had no problem with the transaction and am seeking no refund whatsoever.
