Performance Automotive sold me a set of BBC cylinder heads and then knowingly charged me over $1500 in parts and labor after one of their employee's damaged those head by cutting the exhaust valve too deep and hitting water as well as pressing hardened over sized valve seats into the heads causing them to crack. The heads were Damaged on 3/29/21.

They let me pay for the heads on 4/9/21 and pick up the heads on 5/14/21 when I took the heads and had them pressure tested where they failed the test. I have informed Performance a number of times and too date neither Performance or the employee have tried correct this situation.

Beware. If your property is damaged. All your going to end up with is a pile of scrap. Now I am out $1514 for parts that Performance turned in to scrap iron

Response from Performance Automotive Machine

Performance Automotive Machine has been in continuous operation for 32+ years and we have never had to deal with anything like this before . There have been many texts, threats and hateful emails sent back and forth. This is unfortunate that things reached the point of name calling and threats.

We, at Performance, have not sent any of these texts or emails and I have not spoken with you on the phone in quite some time. Our conversations mainly centered around concern for a mutual friend, at the time. How quickly things can change.

I have received threatening phone calls and voice mails from someone in New Yok, demanding that he be reimbursed for parts sold to him. I asked for reciepts or anything that showed this transaction and of course he could not provide them. I have never heard of JR (initials only) from New York, but he insisted we owed him $3000.00 and then proceeded to post falsehoods and slanderous remarks on the internet. He mentioned your name specifically and referenced your problem with Scott. He also posted on the internet that there were "two other friends who had been ripped off by us".

Of course he could not produce any information on this either. He also stated that the "woman who answered the phone was rude." This was definately not true. It appears now that this JR (initials only) has decided to post photos on our Google page. The photo that was posted was a great shot of our dyno room. This was several years ago and was the very first engine put on our dyno for another shop and their employee. Not sure what this was about.  He has since deleted his posts, but modern technology assures us that nothing on the internet or the phone is ever really gone.  This matter has been turned over to the proper federal authorities, with documentation,  as I do not take slander lightly. Being a loyal friend only goes as far as the truth allows.

I hope we can move forward from this point and stop all the "keyboard attacks". You can call anytime and I know we can discuss things in a professional and rational manner.

After months of denial and arguement. Scott Foxwell from Performance Automotive and Machine refunded $1000 of the original $1521 spent on the heads that were turned to junk by his careless action. At this point I'll call this one and walk away. I cannot recommend using either in the future.
