AAMCO THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED Poughkeepsie New York
I took my car to this AAMCO to get the transmission rebuilt. I got it back a week later. 11 months later my transmission is acting up again. If AAMCO prides themselves on being transmission specialists then why did my transmission only last 11 months? When I asked them for help they said they would run a free diagnostic, but since I drove 16,000 miles instead of 12,000 since they rebuilt it they would not cover anything. THEY DON'T STAND BY THEIR WORK AND WHEN REBUILT, MY TRANSMISSION ONLY LASTED 11 MONTHS! I have my Acura at a trusted local mechanic in Yonkers now. He told me the transmission is a mess and must be rebuilt again. How can AAMCO make themselves out to be transmission specialists when mine lasted only 11 months after they rebuilt it and now must be rebuilt again!

I had the same thing happen to me, but at least mine lasted a whole 15 months. Sounds like it's not just a shop thing, but a company wide scam.
