Alex's auto body shop Alex's auto service Scammed me to pay for fees I am not suppose to pay for due to an accident that was caused by other vechicle. queens, New York
A car that was speeding hit my suv back in may of this year (2009) which was doubled parked with the hazard lights on. The towing truck came to take both cars and my suv was competely totaled. The driver of the tow truck gave me his card and told me that it will be in Alex's auto body shop. I filed a claim with my insurance company letting my car insurance and the car that hit me insurance company (allstate) know. Both companies agreed that it was not my fault and allstate agreed to pay for my damages. Allstate said they woul send an adjuster to see the complete damage to my car after a week.
During the week, every day Alex ( I persume the owner of the shop) would call me telling me I ordered the parts for the car, pay me now to get started. I told him no, i will wait what adjuster had to say. After a week adjuster told allstate car was totaled and a check depending on the blue book value of the car will be issued to me. That was fine by me because I knew it can never be fixed. I now had to get the license plates from my car to give back to the dmv and also to take my car out of the insurance.
I came to Alex to take out my plates and he stopped me from doing so. He told me I had to pay the fees for letting car sit in his shop. THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM AS THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAS TO PAY YOU NOT ME because the accident was not my fault. He then called allstate and they comfirmed. He then told me to pay now $1,500 and sumit recept to allstate to cover the damges and heard him talking to allstate confirming this. I agreed since i had get plates and was leaving country the next day for vacation. When i came back from vacation and i called all state to see the status of my case, Joseph nash the agent told me they would not pay becuse the fees were to supsious!
He told me himself to file a complaint against them becuase they were not suppose to charge me anything and i cant prove it allstate told me it would be covered because it was not filed on paper, just word of mouth. When I called alex, he told me who is going to pay me? That not my problem and hung up in m face.
Alex's auto body shop is a scam with a bunch of teenagers running the place, stay away from this and I am still trying to fight to get my $1,500 back.

This shop is all fraud. They butchered my s550 Benz 2010, they were payed to fix unibody and like 10 expensive mechanical parts that they were payed to change but didn't all equaling to 15,000$ they made the car look good from outside meanwhile inside was all broken and bent parts and the paint they used was the cheapest paint with all dust and fisheyes and waves they butchered my car and made me miserable my car was not safe pulling out of my hand on any road and making noises due to the parts that were not changed that they were payed for this guy alex is a gyspy lowlife, all he knows how to do is chase patchup ur car and steal and ruin ppls lives honestly ur lucky ur car was totaled he wouldve done it to u and ruined ur life I bet that's why he charged u 1500$ because he was pissed he couldn't steal ur 95% of ur check and just patch ur car up ur lucky it wasn't 15,000$ like me I hope alex rots in jail.
